Windows 8: The “Ocho” for Tablets, Phones
The next iteration of Microsoft’s iconic operating system will be optimized for smartphones and tablets. Too bad it may not be launched until next fall.
Impatient shareholders hoping for sweeping changes at Microsoft—whether in capital allocation, strategic direction or new management—are probably disappointed in the lack of drama generated at the company’s analyst day presentation last week. But they shouldn’t be surprised. Microsoft (ticker: MSFT) is nothing if not predictable.
